Clifford Ray Howard, Sr., of Hardinsburg, KY, passed away July 18, 2026, one day after turning 82 years old. He was born in Harlan, KY on July 17, 1944, son of the late Della Raines and Nolan Howard, Sr. He was a hard worker who enjoyed watching boxing and was a diehard Cincinnati Bengals fan.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Mary Jane Grubb Howard; his son Clifford Ray Howard, Jr.; siblings Patricia Zippay, Otha Jackson, Willard Howard, Donald Howard, Charlotte Sizemore and Nolan Howard, Jr.
Clifford is survived by 2 daughters: Valerie Howard of Hardinsburg, KY and Veronica Howard of Radcliff, KY
6 grandchildren: Thomas Joseph William Howard, Dalton Jacobs, Dallas Jacobs, Elizabeth Jacobs, Olivia-Louise Howard and Sophia Howard
Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at 6 PM. Visitation will begin at 4:30 PM.
