Flavors of India has closed its food truck after operating in Owensboro for almost a year and a half.
The business announced the decision Wednesday in a Facebook post, thanking customers for their support.
“After several weeks of thoughtful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to close our food truck,” the post reads. “This decision was not made lightly. We are incredibly grateful for the support, encouragement, and loyalty you have shown us throughout our journey. It has been a privilege to serve our community. We sincerely thank each and every one of you for your business meant the world to us.”
Flavors of India opened in February 2025, offering a menu of authentic Indian cuisine that included curries, biryanis, samosas, pakoras, and vegetarian and non-vegetarian specialties.
Owner Love Singh, who had lived in Owensboro for several years before opening the business, said at the time that he launched the food truck after hearing from residents who wanted more Indian food options in the community.
The food truck was initially based on Frederica Street before later serving customers at other locations and local events.
No reason for the closure was provided in Wednesday’s announcement.
