Owensboro Times originally published an article Tuesday that contained inaccurate information regarding an agreement between the City of Owensboro and the Hampton Inn & Suites. With the mistake, it could have been implied that the company has in the past received incentive funds from the City of Owensboro regarding their occupancy. They have never received, nor requested, such funds.
The article also improperly stated an increase in revenue for the company that was false and reported without an attempt to verify with the company.
OT apologizes and regrets these errors. The article was retracted upon discovering the information was inaccurate.
