The Owensboro Police Department is investigating an incident where an Owensboro man died after traumatic injuries including a stab wound Monday night.
At approximately 6:49 p.m. Monday, OPD responded to the 500 block of Monterrey Drive for a traumatic injury and located an adult male identified as James M. Basham, 45, with multiple injuries including a stab wound.
Basham was transported to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Detectives are continuing to investigate and anyone with additional information can call OPD at 270-687-8888, or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers at 270-687-8484.
