The Trinity Raiders cruised to an opening night win over McLean County as THS swept the Cougars Tuesday in Whitesville.
Trinity (25-12, 25-19, 25-17) were led by Jenna McDowell’s 13 kills while several other performers had solid nights for coach Daniel Morris.
Abby Payne (3 aces, 7 digs), Bailey Millay (2 digs), Josie Aull (3 aces, 21 assists, 2 digs), Georgia Howard (6 kills, 1 block, 2 assists, 3 digs), Hannah Nash (2 aces, 7 kills, 1 block, 4 digs), Taylor Pedley (5 aces, 1 kill, 15 digs), Kenzie McDowell (3 kills, 1 dig) and Corli Mills (2 kills) all contributed for the Raiders.
THS (1-0) plays at 6 p.m. Thursday at Breckinridge County then host the 3rd Region All “A” Classic Saturday in Whitesville.
