Owensboro native Andy Roberts fired a 67 (-5) during the first round of the 106th Clark’s Pump-N-Shop Kentucky Amateur Wednesday at Lexington Country Club.
Roberts is currently tied for second with Kings Mountain’s Alex Goff. Paducah’s Joshua Rhodes leads the field at 6-under.
Roberts shot a 34 on the front nine with two birdies and carded a 33 on the back with four birdies and a bogey on the Par 4 10th.
But Roberts isn’t only Owensboro golfer in the field as Stephen Warren is tied for 59th at +6 and Darrell Vanover is T84 at +10. Hayden Warren is tied for 97th at +12.
