The Owensboro Times sports honors this week go to Owensboro Catholic’s Chris Boarman and Maddie Hayden.
Boarman, a senior linebacker and running back for the Aces, is the Football Player of the Week after receiving the most votes in the weekly poll. Boarman had 10 tackles (2 TFL) to go with seven carries for 23 yards and a touchdown in Catholic’s loss to Owensboro last week.
Hayden, a sophomore soccer player for the Lady Aces, is the Athlete of the Week after receiving the most votes in the weekly poll. Hayden had five goals and an assist in two matches for Catholic.
Next week’s Football and Athlete of the Week polls will open Monday morning and run through Wednesday at 5 p.m.
Note: Winners of the weekly honors will not be eligible for nomination again.
