Four local runners earned postseason cross country accolades this week, including three for Daviess County and one from Apollo.

Daviess County’s Alex Adams, Brady Terry and Emily Ann Roberts, along with Apollo’s Thomas Ashby, were named KTCCCA 3A All-State First-Team members as each brought up top 25 finishes at last weekend’s KHSAA State Cross Country Championship at Bourbon County.

Terry was the top local finisher at state as he took ninth overall in the Class 3A as he finished with a time of 16:41.56. Fellow Panther Adams finished 24th overall as he finished in 17:06.55.

Ashby, a sophomore for the Eagles, finished just ahead of Adams in 20th as he registered a time of 17:01.53.

Like Terry, Roberts was the top local finisher on the girls’ side as she took 21st and finished with a time of 20:25.30.
