COVID-19 update: 2 deaths, 147 cases, 102 recoveries reported for district

A total of 147 more cases of COVID-19 were confirmed Tuesday for the Green River District, marking the largest number in a single day for the region. Coronavirus-related deaths were reported in Daviess (1) and McLean (1) counties. A total of 102 recoveries were also reported.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (56), Hancock (1), Henderson (40), McLean (5), Ohio (22), Union (17), Webster (6)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (38), Hancock (11), Henderson (30), McLean (2), Ohio (9), Union (7), Webster (5)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 6,089
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 4,860 (80%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 29
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 407 (7%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 107

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 2,389 cases, 1,935 recovered, 6 current hospitalizations, 151 ever hospitalized, 34 deaths
  • Hancock County – 182 cases, 134 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 10 ever hospitalized, 6 deaths
  • Henderson County – 1,569 cases, 1,216 recovered, 10 current hospitalizations, 113 ever hospitalized, 36 deaths
  • McLean County – 275 cases, 183 recovered, 6 current hospitalizations, 21 ever hospitalized, 9 deaths
  • Ohio County – 715 cases, 595 recovered, 4 current hospitalizations, 50 ever hospitalized, 11 deaths
  • Union County – 571 cases, 491 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 35 ever hospitalized, 6 deaths
  • Webster County – 388 cases, 306 recovered, 3 current hospitalizations, 27 ever hospitalized, 5 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-100 years old
  • Average age: 45
  • Male: 45%
  • Female: 55%

  • <1 — 22 cases
  • 1-11 — 183 cases
  • 12-19 — 482 cases
  • 20-29 — 1,030 cases
  • 30-39 — 940 cases
  • 40-49 — 936 cases
  • 50-59 — 855 cases
  • 60-69 — 769 cases
  • 70-79 — 503 cases
  • 80+ — 364 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
