The 32nd official Owensboro Christmas card, designed by Aaron Kizer and titled “Little Full, Lotta Sap” is now on sale for $2 each.

They are available at Owensboro City Hall, 101 East 4th St. A limited number are available.

The card features a large Christmas tree atop one of the City’s downtown trolleys.

According to Mayor Tom Watson, Kizer’s inspiration for the card came from both the holiday film, “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation,” and the chaotic year that has been 2020.

“In the efforts of how crazy 2020 has been — despite Clark Griswald’s dream of the perfect Christmas, everything seems to go wrong,” Watson said when the design was released last month. “2020 has been filled with many ups and downs, but we all aspire to have that perfect Christmas holiday with family and friends.”

Kizer designed the City’s Christmas card for the first time last year, taking over a years-long slot that had previously been filled by artist Rex Robinson. Kizer’s 2019 card featured the “Owensbear” in front of the downtown bridge and surrounded by snow.
