COVID-19 update: 5 deaths, 129 cases, 80 recoveries reported for district

A total of 129 more cases of COVID-19 and 80 recoveries were confirmed Tuesday for the Green River District, including 45 cases and 25 recoveries in Daviess County. Coronavirus-related deaths were reported in Daviess (3), Hancock (1) and McLean (1) counties.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (45), Hancock (9), Henderson (31), McLean (6), Ohio (20), Union (4), Webster (14)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (25), Hancock (5), Henderson (21), McLean (4), Ohio (6), Union (7), Webster (12)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 7,687
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 6,023 (78%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 57
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 491 (6%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 134

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 3,072 cases, 2,415 recovered, 17 current hospitalizations, 182 ever hospitalized, 45 deaths
  • Hancock County – 277 cases, 197 recovered, 4 current hospitalizations, 17 ever hospitalized, 11 deaths
  • Henderson County – 1,884 cases, 1,485 recovered, 16 current hospitalizations, 131 ever hospitalized, 36 deaths
  • McLean County – 364 cases, 259 recovered, 6 current hospitalizations, 28 ever hospitalized, 15 deaths
  • Ohio County – 886 cases, 699 recovered, 7 current hospitalizations, 61 ever hospitalized, 15 deaths
  • Union County – 685 cases, 572 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 38 ever hospitalized, 6 deaths
  • Webster County – 519 cases, 396 recovered, 6 current hospitalizations, 34 ever hospitalized, 6 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-102 years old
  • Average age: 45
  • Male: 45%
  • Female: 55%

  • <1 — 24 cases
  • 1-11 — 238 cases
  • 12-19 — 629 cases
  • 20-29 — 1,278 cases
  • 30-39 — 1,182 cases
  • 40-49 — 1,170 cases
  • 50-59 — 1,105 cases
  • 60-69 — 962 cases
  • 70-79 — 629 cases
  • 80+ — 464 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
