COVID-19 update: 1 death, 123 cases, 28 recoveries reported for district

A total of 123 more cases of COVID-19 and 28 recoveries were announced Monday for the Green River District, including 21 cases and 15 recoveries in Daviess County. One coronavirus-related death each was reported in Henderson County. The numbers reflect a two-day reporting period.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (21), Hancock (3), Henderson (69), McLean (2), Ohio (8), Union (16), Webster (4)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (15), Hancock (2), Henderson (4), McLean (2), Ohio (3), Union (2)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 9,490
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 7,061 (74%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 48
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 540 (6%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 163

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 3,936 cases, 2,886 recovered, 14 current hospitalizations, 195 ever hospitalized, 54 deaths
  • Hancock County – 323 cases, 245 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 18 ever hospitalized, 11 deaths
  • Henderson County – 2,284 cases, 1,688 recovered, 10 current hospitalizations, 141 ever hospitalized, 42 deaths
  • McLean County – 421 cases, 324 recovered, 3 current hospitalizations, 34 ever hospitalized, 21 deaths
  • Ohio County – 1,184 cases, 815 recovered, 11 current hospitalizations, 76 ever hospitalized, 18 deaths
  • Union County – 754 cases, 644 recovered, 1 current hospitalizations, 39 ever hospitalized, 9 deaths
  • Webster County – 588 cases, 459 recovered, 7 current hospitalizations, 37 ever hospitalized, 8 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-102 years old
  • Average age: 45
  • Male: 44.9%
  • Female: 55.1%

Cases by age range are :

  • <1 — 33 cases
  • 1-11 — 289 cases
  • 12-19 — 786 cases
  • 20-29 — 1,542 cases
  • 30-39 — 1,433 cases
  • 40-49 — 1,457 cases
  • 50-59 — 1,379 cases
  • 60-69 — 1,202 cases
  • 70-79 — 769 cases
  • 80+ — 600 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
