COVID-19 update: 3 deaths, 187 cases, 132 recoveries reported for district

A total of 187 more cases of COVID-19 and 132 recoveries were announced Wednesday for the Green River District, including 119 cases and 64 recoveries in Daviess County. Coronavirus-related deaths were reported in Daviess (2) and Henderson (1) counties.

There will not be an update Friday through Sunday. Daily updates will resume Monday.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (119), Hancock (13), Henderson (14), McLean (8), Ohio (19), Union (6), Webster (8)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (64), Hancock (5), Henderson (30), McLean (6), Ohio (11), Union (10), Webster (6)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 12,750
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 9,676 (76%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 45
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 644 (5%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 227

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 5,722 cases, 4,281 recovered, 30 current hospitalizations, 251 ever hospitalized, 92 deaths
  • Hancock County – 441 cases, 314 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 20 ever hospitalized, 12 deaths
  • Henderson County – 2,890 cases, 2,177 recovered, 5 current hospitalizations, 160 ever hospitalized, 49 deaths
  • McLean County – 541 cases, 422 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 37 ever hospitalized, 22 deaths
  • Ohio County – 1,505 cases, 1,168 recovered, 6 current hospitalizations, 89 ever hospitalized, 30 deaths
  • Union County – 915 cases, 756 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 45 ever hospitalized, 9 deaths
  • Webster County – 736 cases, 558 recovered, 2 current hospitalization, 42 ever hospitalized, 13 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-102 years old
  • Average age: 45
  • Male: 45.2%
  • Female: 54.8%

  • <1 — 50 cases
  • 1-11 — 409 cases
  • 12-19 — 1,026 cases
  • 20-29 — 2,087 cases
  • 30-39 — 1,968 cases
  • 40-49 — 1,962 cases
  • 50-59 — 1,832 cases
  • 60-69 — 1,615 cases
  • 70-79 — 1,032 cases
  • 80+ — 769 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
