The Owensboro Catholic Lady Aces are now in the middle of taking on two top-20 foes in as many days as they’re looking to bounce back after falling to No. 19 Bardstown Friday at the Owensboro Sportscenter.

Catholic pushed the Lady Tigers and held them to just four points in the fourth quarter but the Aces couldn’t capitalize, which led to a 52-46 Bardstown win in overtime.

The Tigers held a 13-10 lead after the first but the Aces battled back in the second as the matchup was tied 24-24 heading to the second half.

Freshman Hailee Johnson scored six of her team-high 13 points in the third to cut the Bardstown lead to 40-38 heading to the final frame.

The Aces only delivered one field goal in the fourth and one field goal in overtime to fall to the Tigers.

Lexie Keelin added nine points on three 3-pointers.

Catholic hits the court again today against No. 4 Marshall County on the road.
