David Neal Puryear, 73, passed away Friday, February 12, 2021 at Madisonville Health and Rehabilitation. He was born in Muhlenberg County on December 13, 1947 to the late Vivian Barnes and Felix Puryear Jr. David was retired from the Green River Correctional Facility where he worked as a Corrections Officer.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Donna Puryear; and his brother, Bradford Puryear.
He is survived by his wife, Teresa Faye Wilkins Puryear; his children, Stacy (Charlie) Skaggs and Nichole (Darrin) Albro; his grandchildren, Matt (Marina) Skaggs, Katie (Wil) Mann and Jacob Baker; his great-grandchildren, Aubrey Skaggs and Sawyer Mann; and his siblings, Vickie Puryear and Felix (Janell) Puryear, III.
Graveside services will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in the fall of 2021.
