Owensboro hits the court against Henderson County
The Owensboro Red Devils took on Henderson County on the tennis court Friday with OHS grabbing several wins.
On the boys’ side, Dylan Mather won his No. 1 singles match 6-0, 6-0, while Dylan Mather and Walker Gaddis won their No. 1 doubles match 8-6.
For the Lady Devils, Addie Travis won her No. 2 singles match 6-4, 7-5.
Catholic splits with Daviess County
The Owensboro Catholic Aces and Daviess County Panthers hit the court Friday with the Panthers grabbing a win on the boys’ side and the Lady Aces grabbing a win on the boys’ side.
The DC boys won 4-3 while the Catholic girls won 9-0.
For DC, George Hulse, Graham Sandefur and Andy Peebles grabbed singles win while Davis Brocato, Matthew Hyland and Clayton Lewis earned wins for the Aces.
Two doubles matches weren’t completed but Panthers grabbed a point in the only match that finished with Peebles and Parth Haria won 8-0.
On the girls’ side, Ella Cason, Ella Grace Buckner, Isabelle Reisz, Elizabeth Hayden, Julia Marshall and Sarah Hayden all grabbed singles wins.
In doubles, Emmy Moore/Sarah Kate Young, Aisha Merchant/Olivia Hayden and Katelyn Mitchell/Claire Augustine all earned doubles wins.
