The Daviess County Lady Panthers grabbed two big wins over 2nd Region opponents Saturday as they took down Christian County and Lyon County.
DC beat the Lady Lyons 9-4 then edged the Lady Colonels 6-5.
Again LC, the Panthers jumped out to a 5-0 lead after the second inning and never looked back.
Jessie Daniels hit a 3-run home run in the top the first and Millie Roberts followed it up with a solo shot in the second.
Daniels and Kelsea Roby each had three RBIs in the win while Roby and Hattie Newman were the only Lady Panthers with multiple hits.
Greysee Whiteker grabbed the win in the circle.
Against Christian County, Raylee Roby had nine strikeouts as she earned the victory as she also had two hits at the plate.
Like Whiteker, Roby had an early lead to help her out as DC scored twice in the first inning. Roberts and Newman had doubles in the first to help get the offense going.
Whiteker and Daniels had two RBIs against the Lady Colonels while Daniels added two hits, including an RBI double in the fourth that scored two.
DC is now 3-1 on the year and plays Thursday at home against Webster County.
