The local home-buying market showed no signs of slowing down in April, with homes sold and the average price both still on the rise.
In April, local realtors sold 172 — compared to 144 in April 2021, or even 152 in May 2020.
Houses were only on the market for an average of 68 days compared to 91 a year ago.
The average sold price for April 2021 was $190,522 — the highest monthly average since October 2020 and up about $3,500 from April 2020.
Sales volume, meanwhile, was up 22% from April 2020 and totaled $32.7 million.
“Spring and early summer is always an attractive time to put your home on the market,” said Jason Bellamy, President of GO REALTORS. “The seller’s market is holding steady, and homes are not staying on the market very long.”
