Lindsay Marie, an alumna of the world-famous Second City Conservatory improv program, is working with the Theatre Workshop of Owensboro to lead basic improv workshops for various age groups.

TWO is conducting three educational classes on April 1, with each tailored to a different age group. There is a 12 person limit to each class.

Workshops will be as follows:

  • Ages 8-12: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • Ages 13-18: 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Ages 19 and older: 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

In each workshop, TWO will explore the basics of improvised theater through games and exercises. Attendees will get to be as playful, creative, and spontaneous as they’d like as the workshop focuses on listening, collaboration, character, and storytelling. No experience is required.

Marie is an improviser, comedian, actor, and writer. She has performed short- and long-form improv, sketch comedy, characters, and stand up across the Midwest.

The fee for the workshop is $25. Call TWO at 270-683-5333 or visit theatreworkshop.org to enroll.
