Grand Stable Venue in Philpot has evolved into one of the area’s most sought-after wedding and private event venues. On Saturday, March 16, they’re hosting a Saint Paddy’s Day Party featuring The Crashers and DJ Up Vibe.
The event will run from 6:30 p.m. to 11 p.m., with The Crashers performing from 8 to 10. The venue is located at 7735 KY-144 in Philpot and features a former horse arena that owners Amy and Morgan Hildebrandt have converted into a luxury event space.
The event will also feature the Real Hacienda Food Truck, Basil’s Food Truck, and a cash bar.
The mother-and-daughter duo purchased the farm from Donald Lloyd, who owned Lloyd’s Mechanical and was an avid horse enthusiast.
“We knew we wanted to keep the horse vibe,” Amy said. “Lloyd raised his Tennessee walking horses right here and built this arena to show them. Each of them had their own stall. He tried to sell several times but never could part with it.”
During college, Morgan introduced the idea of opening a wedding and events venue to Amy. They continued entertaining the idea when she returned home, searching relentlessly for the perfect location.
“I searched for 5 years, and we eventually decided we were going to build something new,” Amy said. “I found this place, and we knew it was the spot. We ended up moving out here, and Lloyd moved into our home on Tanglewood.”
The Hildebrandts hope to retire horses on the farm eventually. They are working with a local fencing company right now to install fences.
Amy said the indoor space easily seats 400 people. The venue has hosted everything from weddings and showers to corporate gatherings and Christmas parties.
