The Owensboro Museum of Science and History will celebrate the start of summer with a members-only Summer Fest later this month featuring carnival games, music, food, and family activities.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, May 30, from 2-6 p.m. at the museum.
Organizers said the afternoon will include carnival games, crafts, goody bags for children, and free hot dogs, chips, and drinks for attendees. Families will also have the opportunity to take photos with Columbo, the museum’s mascot.
A silent disco is planned from 4-6 p.m., allowing participants to listen and dance to three different styles of music through wireless headphones.
“Come celebrate the start of summer with games, music, food, and fun for the whole family!” organizers said in the release.
Museum officials encouraged members to RSVP online.
Those interested in becoming members can contact the museum at 270-687-2732. Officials said memberships include free or reduced admission to more than 350 museums across the country.
