The Daviess County Public Schools district is celebrating student talents in the areas of visual and performing arts in a 3-day showcase open from 4-7:30 p.m. daily March 15-17 at the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame and Museum. The showcase is free to attend.

More than 500 pieces of student artwork and more than 450 student performers from grades K-12 will demonstrate the “Wonderful World of the Arts.”

“This is a great opportunity to witness the growth of our students as they progress through our programs and celebrate the wealth of creativity and artistry happening across our DCPS arts programs,” said Karen Alward, DCPS fine and performing arts coordinator.

Highlights include vocal and instrumental performances by choirs, bands, solos, ensembles, chamber winds and a “Kinder Kazoo” band; presentations by middle and high school speech teams; elementary and high school theatre performances; and visual arts in a variety of mediums.
A complete schedule of performances can be found here.
