The RiverPark Center will be hosting “Downtown Live” starting May 13. It’s a free summer concert series geared toward customers ages 21 and older, and features multiple bars and entertainment spaces throughout the RiverPark Center.

Each Friday from May 13 to July 29, guests can partake in themes ranging from “Ladies Night” to “Friends of Farmers Night,” each geared to offer a new experience each week. Each week will start at 6 p.m. and end at 11 p.m.

“We wanted to go with a 21+ type of event so as to not take anything away from Friday After 5,” RPC Executive Director Rich Jorn said. “FA5 is a wonderful experience for families. We wanted to offer an alternative to that.”

Downtown Live will allow guests to enjoy drinks at the BB&T Plaza by the river and go to the Jody Berry Theater for the inside dance floor. The Atmos Courtyard and other places throughout the facility will also be used for the festivities.

Other themes include Spirits and Brews, Biker Night and O’Chella — Owensboro’s take on Coachella. O’Chella will have a rave in the Jody Berry Theater, selfie stations and more ways to capture the summer festival spirit.

The RiverPark Center is also accepting vendors of local nonprofits and businesses. To sign up for one contact Alex Jorn here.
