The Owensboro Art Guild is partnering with Fetta Specialty Pizza this Saturday, bringing 30 artists for a live art show. Attendees will also have the chance to purchase some art.
Leeza Dukes said of throughout the 30 artists there are a variety of mediums of art including painting, sculpture, mixed media, mosaic, pottery and even jewelry.
The live show will also include some painting, jewelry making, basket weaving, and fashion demonstrations.
Dukes said the Guild did the same show in October and had around 70 artists come out to sell their work. Ultimately, this opportunity gives the artists practice selling their work Dukes said.
“They are not just presenting it, they are also selling their artwork. We call it fine art because these artists are very, very good at what they do,” Dukes said. “…[They] talk to other people that are interested in how we put things together and about our artwork.”
The art show will take place behind Fetta on the brick path and will go from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
