In the coming weeks, there are a variety of activities taking place at Mount Saint Joseph that span from knitting and concert piano to beauty and remembrance.

Yarn Spinners – Nov. 2 thru 4

If you enjoy yarn spinning, weaving, rug hooking, knitting or crocheting, you are welcome to attend the Arts at the Mount weekend retreats at Mount Saint Joseph Conference and Retreat Center (12 miles west of Owensboro, Ky., on Hwy. 56).

Diane Earle Piano Concert – Nov. 3

Dr. Diane Earle is a professor of music and Artist in Residence at Kentucky Wesleyan College in Owensboro. She will be giving a free concert in the Madonna Room at Mount Saint Joseph Conference and Retreat Center (12 miles west of Owensboro, Ky., on Hwy. 56) at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 3.

Dr. Earle has multiple degrees in piano performance and has performed nationwide and abroad. She has been a principal pianist for the Owensboro Symphony Orchestra. Her favorite book is the Bible. The public is invited.

Mount Saint Joseph Academy Alumnae Memorial Mass – Nov. 4

The 2018 Alumnae Memorial Mass will take place on Sunday, Nov. 4 in the Mount Saint Joseph Motherhouse Chapel, Maple Mount, Ky. This Mass is celebrated in remembrance of all deceased classmates and faculty of Mount Saint Joseph Academy and Junior College.

The names of those who passed away the previous year will be read during Mass. Attendees are invited to stay for lunch in the dining room. Please RSVP to Marian Bennett at 270-229-2006 or [email protected]

“Touch of Beauty/Touch of God” theme of Ursuline dinner – Nov. 6

“The Touch of Beauty, The Touch of God” will be the theme of the Tuesday, Nov. 6 Evening with an Ursuline dinner/presentation. Sister Ruth Gehres will talk about how and where we experience beauty. She will explore beauty as it touches us every day, and delve into new possibilities for bringing beauty into our lives.
