The RiverPark Center will be transformed this Sunday into a magical, fairytale-inspired tea party by the Junior League of Owensboro. This year’s event will be the fourth tea party hosted by the league and focuses on empowering the family.
“The tea is a great bonding experience and helps empower family,” said Vice President Stacey Davis. “It is also a time for kids to learn etiquette of having tea and table manners in a fun way.”
The Pinkies Up! Tea Party is open to everyone in the community and is specifically geared towards youth ages three to 10.
Attendees will enjoy a delicious menu featuring kid-friendly sandwiches and desserts. Actors from Fairy Dust Entertainment portraying, Belle, Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora and more will provide etiquette lessons, autographs, singing and dancing to make the event truly a unique experience.
“Everyone is welcome to eat yummy treats and interact with Fairy Dust Entertainment actors, but for little ones who love princesses and princes will have a particularly magical time,” said Junior League Chairwoman Lelah Rogers.
The event will also host a silent auction to help raise money to support the Junior League’s wide breadth of community outreach.
“As it grows each year we are hoping it will become one of our main fundraisers,” said Rogers.
The Junior League of Owensboro recently announced a $10,000 grant that will be awarded to a local nonprofit organization that aligns with the Junior League’s core values.
Tickets for the Junior League of Owensboro’s Tea Party are $25 for adults and $15 for children. Tickets can be purchased at jlowensboro.org
