In a press release Thursday, Malco Theatres announced their movie lineup for the 2019 Summer Film Fest. According to the release, the program will benefit children’s hospitals across Malco’s service region, allowing “kids to help kids.”
“Over the years, the much-loved festival has raised thousands of dollars for various children’s charities,” the release read.
Beneficiaries this year include Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital (Memphis, TN), Arkansas Children’s Hospital (Little Rock, AR), Norton Children’s Hospital (Owensboro, KY), Monroe E. Carroll Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, Batson Children’s Hospital (Jackson, Mississippi) and Children’s Hospital in New Orleans.
Each Tuesday and Wednesday from June 4 through July 31, participating Malco Theatres, including the Owensboro location, will offer G and PG rated movies at a specially discounted price.
Moviegoers will be treated to a summer of family-friendly favorites at just $2 per ticket.

June 11 and 12: Minions
June 18 and 19: Secret Life of Pets
June 25 and 26: Sing
July 2 and 3: The Cat in the Hat
July 9 and 10: Trolls
July 16 and 17: Puss in Boots
July 23 and 24: Shrek
July 30 and 31: Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie
