For those wanting a fall outing while experiencing nature, Cecil Farms is offering that opportunity for free on Saturdays, beginning Sept. 28.

Director of Operations Suzanne Cecil White said that this is the third year they have opened the farm during this time for activities and this year, their goal is to keep it simple.

“It’s an opportunity to take a walk through the woods, visit a pond by the bean fields and just look at the simple life,” she said.

The self-guided path is marked and Cecil said it is also a great path for an off-road jog. In fact, Legends Tuesday Night Run group will be holding their Oct. 1 run on the farm, and food trucks will be on-site for after the run.

There are plenty of photo opportunities on the property and concessions will be available.

Cecil Farms vegetables and pumpkins will also be available for sale at the event and Cecil said that they have both decorative and traditional pumpkins for fall. Prices range from $2 to $12.

Hayrides will also be offered for $3.

The farm is open every Saturday from Sept. 28 to Oct. 26 from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Cecil Farms is located at 8753 Mulligan Road.
