The date for PorchFest 2020 has been announced. The annual community event will take place on Saturday, June 13.
PorchFest co-founders Tamarra Miller and Andy Brasher began planning for the 2020 event as soon as the 2019 PorchFest wrapped up. The same day band submissions opened up, 20 submissions were received by lunchtime and all 45 slots are expected to be filled.
Miller said they’re expecting to have 45 acts participate on 15 porches in PorchFest 2020 this year. The event will span across porches on Griffith Avenue, from Frederica Street to Robin Road.
“PorchFest was created to bring our community together and bring awareness to the amazing local talent we have,” Miller said.
Miller, who’s been a co-founder of PorchFest since its inception, said she and Brasher are hoping to add a VIP tent and a Kid Zone to the 2020 event.
