The idea for the upcoming “Your Best Year Workshop” started with host Suzanne Cecil White who knows she occasionally needs a fire lit under her. As a female community leader and part of Cecil Farms and the White Chateau, she wanted to create an event focused on intentionality, confidence, mindset and connection with others while also reflecting on the new year ahead.
“Nothing is better for a bunch of girls than to get together with a bunch of like-minded girls,” she said. “That synergy, that’s what I needed and knew I wanted to create here locally. When goal setting, we wanted to focus on how to make it happen – how to be truly intentional of our goals this year, so we can actually bring them to fruition.”
The one-day event will be hosted at the White Chateau at Cecil Farms.
“We can change our lives by taking just one day to find our focus,” explained White. “We are starting the day with yoga with Julie Moore, which has many benefits to help you focus. I’m so excited about her being a part of the event as she has a little fire in her soul, and the lineup of speakers we have in store are going to bring a lot of inspiration.”
One of the speakers, Coach Kiah Twisselman, will be coming in from Northern California along with local guest speaker, Kirby Green.
“Kiah, she’s just really inspiring because of how she has transformed her mindset and how much her life has transformed in just a years’ time. That’s what we aspire for is to transform our mindset,” White said. “Kirby is from this area, and every time we sit together, I get so much from her during our time together as I just soak in everything she says. She’s just an impressive person, and I leave there feeling so encouraged and good about myself every time I’m with her. She has a unique way of doing that.”
White, director of operations at Cecil Farms, and her co-host Danielle Hayden, lead photographer/owner of Two Arrows Photography, are capping registration at 35 attendees so that it retains an intimate feeling with the vision of fireside chats and soaking in positive inspiration and motivation from other attendees and the various sessions.
“Danielle, my partner in this, she’s more of a chill personality and It’s great because we are so different in many ways,” White said. “There’s not one type of person this conference is for, so I encourage anyone to register who wants to set goals with intentionality and change their mindset.”
The event, sponsored by BB&T and Daviess County Farm Bureau, includes lunch and give-aways. Attendees are encouraged to bring their favorite goal-setting planner or notebook.
“It’s exciting to get to provide this opportunity for people in the region, and I’m thankful we have local businesses who support us and believe in us to do so,” she said. “Both BB&T and Daviess County Farm Bureau are all about empowering women in the local community, and with a female president of BB&T here locally, it’s a perfect fit.”
White hopes that attendees leave with a feeling of excitement and a clearer focus after the day.
“We truly look forward to helping you set yourself up to live your best year,” White said.
The workshop is on Jan. 3 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
