Santa will still be making a stop at the Owensboro Convention Center on December 12, but there will be some changes due to new restrictions. The third annual Breakfast with Santa will now be a free drive-thru event on the venue’s front drive.

“With the new COVID mandates … and with everything that has happened this year, our team felt it was important to find a way to still present this event for the families and children of our community,” stated Spectra General Manager, Laura Alexander. “With the help of our partners at German American Bank, we are so excited to now offer it as free event.”

The event will run from 8-10 a.m. The first 250 people will receive a to-go breakfast of pancakes and bacon, and children will receive a goodie bag with Christmas coloring pages and crayons.

Santa will be there to greet the children, and letters to Santa will be accepted.

“We believe this arrangement with Santa and the Owensboro Convention Center is safe way to celebrate Christmas and our community spirit,” said Amy Jackson, German American Bank Regional President. “German American Bank is excited to partner with the Convention Center again this year, and hope that many join in on the drive-by trip to see Santa and grab some breakfast.”
