Wendell Foster has rescheduled the Special Needs Expo for 1 to 4 p.m. on Oct. 23 at the Owensboro Convention Center, a move made out of safety precautions due to COVID-19.

“Everyone’s safety is our highest priority,” said Cindy Huston, Wendell Foster’s Director of Technology and Resource Center. “We’re optimistic that by postponing the Expo, we will be able to have an in-person event.”

The Special Needs Expo will be an opportunity for community agencies to collaborate in providing information about resources and services that will assist families in supporting a loved one with a disability.

Celebrity guest Sean McElwee from “Born this Way” will give a speech and host a Fashion Show with local models of all ages and abilities, wearing shirts he designed.
