Casey’s Rides is bringing the carnival back to Towne Square Mall this year. The traveling amusement park will set up shop in the mall parking lot for 10 days straight, starting Friday at 5 p.m.

The carnival will run April 2-11 this year, and owner Debbie Green said temperature checks will be conducted at the entrance and masks will be required throughout the premises.

However, Green said the Green River District Health Department will not require employees to write each person’s name and contact information down upon entering this year. Last year, that step was required in case anybody at the carnival tested positive for the virus.

“We want everyone to feel safe,” Green said. “Everything went easy and smooth last year and we had no situations throughout the season with our employees or customers.”

On April 8, Casey’s Rides will hold a special event involving several churches from around the area. The “Just Breathe” event will offer special pricing on popcorn, cotton candy and group ticket sales of 10 people or more. One girls’ and boys’ bicycle each will be given away along with a number of other prizes. The “Just Breathe” event will be open to the public.

The dates and times for this year’s carnival are as follows:

  • Friday, April 2: 5-11 p.m.
  • Saturday, April 3: Noon-11 p.m.
  • Sunday, April 4: Noon-11 p.m.
  • Monday-Friday, April 5-9: 3-11 p.m.
  • Saturday-Sunday, April 10-11: Noon-11 p.m.
