Thursday’s virtual Rooster Booster event set for 7:30 a.m. will feature “Owensboro Women Leading the Way,” a panel composed of six local women who are community leaders across the spectrum and past recipients of the Athena Award.

The panel includes Brenda Clayton, Cindy Fiorella, Jean Wells, Alma Randolph, Susan Montalvo-Gesser, and Jane Noble.

The panel will be moderated by Tish Correa-Osborne, CEO of Girls Inc. of Owensboro-Daviess County.

In partnership with Girls Inc., the Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce presents the Athena Award annually. It recognizes individuals in the community who have achieved excellence in business or a profession, have served the community in a meaningful way, and have assisted women in developing their leadership potential.

“We are proud to have such a broad and accomplished group of Athena Award honorees as panel presenters this month. As we kick off Women’s History Month, it is important to recognize the roles of women across our community,” said Chamber President and CEO Candance Castlen Brake. “They are truly transforming Greater Owensboro to improve our quality of life and our economy.”

The event is sponsored by Wendell Foster and hosted by the Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce.

There is no cost to attend the virtual Rooster Booster, and it can be streamed via Facebook Live or Zoom. The program will also be available on Chamber’s YouTube channel following the conclusion of the event.
