After seven years of growing and breaking ticket sale records, the annual Farm-to-Table dinner returns August 26 and expects to try a new format for this year’s event.

Jim Gilles with Hill View Farms said they always try to do something different every year with the dinner but this year, instead of the traditional Saturday evening dinner, they moved the dinner to Thursday to accommodate any events for potential customers.

The event plans to cap its seating at 75 people to create a personalized, intimate, connecting dinner. Something that Gilles said is exciting for his family.

“I get to see our customers on a pretty regular basis. So, for the rest of my family, it’s really cool for them to get to meet a lot of the other customers that they may not get to see,” Gilles said.

The two farms came together to host the event because as Suzanne Cecil with Cecil Farms said, it’s not often that people get to connect with the sources of their meal. So Cecil sets out to make the event as local as possible.

Cecil said Hill View Farms will provide the meat, Cecil Farms will provide the produce, her sister Katie Cecil with Katie Ann Flowers will provide her own local flowers and Matt Weafer from Niko’s Bakery and Cafe will be cooking the dinner. They also have plans for a band but do not yet have one locked in.

“We thought it would be fun, really. Like I said, we don’t like to do things the same over and over again, other than it is definitely going to be a unique one-of-a-kind event over and over again,” Cecil said.

This year, they plan to host outside and invite people to enjoy the farm side and sunset during the dinner with a partner or just the other attendees.

The Thursday dinner set at Hill View Farms costs $75 to attend. It is a 21+ event. To register click here to go to the Eventbrite link.
