Whitesville City Park will play host to the Second Annual Tractor Show today from 10 a.m. to noon. Organized by the Whitesville Lions Club in conjunction with the city, the event also features food and drinks, various vendors, and door prizes.

“The Lions Club will be selling hamburgers and drinks, and we also have a booth with funnel cakes and pork rinds,” said Whitesville Mayor Patsy Mayfield. “Josh Stone with Sawdust & Stuff Custom Wood Carvings will also be on site crafting custom wood signs and other wooden creations.”

The City of Whitesville has been hosting Fireworks in the Park for 13 years with great success. The community has strived to add more events that allow families to come and spend time outdoors at the park in recent years.

“We’ve been making improvements at the park and would love for everyone to come and enjoy it,” Mayfield said. “The tractor show is just another example of trying to get more people out to the park. They will have an opportunity to see a wide array of tractors.”

The city will also host a Car Show on Oct. 16.
