Dream Riders of Kentucky will host their first annual Bluegrass n’ Boogie benefit event on Oct. 16 at 6 p.m. in Philpot. The event will feature the locally renowned Lanham Brothers, and all proceeds will benefit individuals with visible and invisible disabilities enrolled in equine therapy programs.

While the Lanham Brothers will bring their flair of bluegrass and clogging, the event will also feature catering by Moonlite Bar-B-Q Inn, silent and live auctions, and a special performance by the Dream Team participants.

“All of the proceeds will go to providing equine therapy programs that make purposeful life-enhancing changes for participants of all ages,” said Dream Riders Executive Director Sandy Webster. “Last year, Dream Riders of KY increased its therapeutic equine services 410% to meet the needs of neighbors and friends with physical, cognitive, emotional, or social special needs.”

The title sponsor of this year’s event is River Valley Behavioral Health. Additional sponsors include Dr. Kerry Paape, Ohio Valley Insurance, and American Patriot Getaways. Other opportunities remain available.

Companies, family, and friends are encouraged to purchase a table of eight to 10, while individuals are also welcome.

“However you come, you are giving back to a great cause, getting a great meal and entertainment in a safe, beautiful location,” Webster said. “Under the stars, under the big tent looking out over the fields of beauty while being entertained and fed, come kick up your heels at the Dream Riders Bluegrass n’ Boogie benefit.”

For information, visit dreamridersofky.org, call Webster at 270-613-0079, or email [email protected]. Tickets and sponsorships can be purchased on the website or in person at 4705 Winkler Road.
