The initial lineup for ROMP Festival 2022 has been announced, including headliners Punch Brothers, The Del McCoury Band, and Rhiannon Giddens. ROMP will be held June 22-25 at Yellow Creek Park.

The Grammy-winning Punch Brothers return for the first time since 2017. Del McCoury, inducted into the Bluegrass Hall of Fame in 2011, is a generational favorite for fans of bluegrass music. Giddens first appeared at ROMP in 2011 with the Carolina Chocolate Drops, which became a touchstone performance for the festival and earned Giddens a dedicated following of ROMP fans.

Also on the initial lineup, We Banjo 3 brings their Celtic-inspired bluegrass, and guitar master Tommy Emmanuel returns after a popular appearance at ROMP in 2021. Rounding out the initial lineup are The Gibson Brothers, Rob Ickes & Trey Hensley, The Po’Ramblin’ Boys, East Nash Grass, and Liam Purcell & Cane Mill Road. More artists will be announced at a later date.

Produced by the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum, the four-day music festival celebrates bluegrass and roots music, local artists, and farm-to-table food vendors.

“One of the things that defines Owensboro as the Bluegrass Music Capital of the World is ROMP Festival, and we are so pleased to announce the initial lineup before Christmas,” said Chris Joslin, Executive Director of the Hall of Fame. “There are a lot of reasons to love ROMP, but live music is at the center of it all, and this year’s lineup highlights the depth and diversity of artists in bluegrass music.  The road to ROMP begins today.”

Presale tickets are on sale at midnight tonight, and prices will increase on Jan. 4. Four-day tickets are available at the discounted rate of $165, and VIP tickets are available for $415 and include catered meals, air-conditioned restrooms, and prime stage views. On-site tent and RV camping passes are also available. Children 12 and under are admitted free.
