White Chateau at Cecil Farms will host a one-of-a-kind event next month, featuring the Owensboro String Symphony Quartet performing in front of the fireplace surrounded by candlelight. It will also offer a custom menu from locally renowned Chef Matt Weafer.
The Candlelight Symphony is scheduled for 6:30-9:30 p.m. on Feb. 11 at 8753 Mulligan Road.
Event director Suzanne Cecil White said guests could expect a completely different vibe and ambiance, unlike anything White Chateau has presented before.
“This will not be a typical room full of tables and chairs,” White said. “We are creating various comfortable settings and transforming the venue to something cozy and comfortable.”
Weafer – the head chef at Owensboro Country Club and owner of Niko’s Bakery – and his team will serve heavy hors d’oeuvres in courses to accompany a delectable wine and beer menu.
White said the acoustics at the venue are excellent for music, and that the quartet has created a lineup chock full of popular romantic pieces.
“Find yourselves enjoying good food, good music, and one another as you cozy up by the fire or on a comfy settee around the candlelit venue,” she said. “This is the perfect night out with your significant other, a group of friends, or your best friend.”
She said the event would also make for a perfect girls’ night, Valentine’s date night, or simply a social affair.
“White Chateau is sure to curate a beautiful evening of memorable moments to be shared together,” White said. “Invite someone and get your tickets today; this will sell out.”
The event’s title sponsor is German American Bank, while Elmore’s of Leitchfield will provide the furniture and decor. Align Wealth Management is the event sponsor, and Katie Ann Flowers will provide floral arrangements and additional decor.
The cost to attend is $75 per person. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit the event site here.
