The annual Farm City Breakfast is returning after a 1-year hiatus, and this year will focus on mental health as it relates to farming. The event will be held Feb. 26. Today is the last day to sign up for sponsorships for the breakfast.

The event is presented by the Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce and Daviess County Farm Bureau.

Kenzie Tomes, Chamber Communications and Events Coordinator, said that the breakfast is a longstanding tradition and to be able to partner with the Daviess County Farm Bureau to host the event again is exciting.

“Since we’ve been able to start having in-person events again, it’s just such a great feeling to see people back together and Farm City is going to be such a good feeling to have our ag community together,” Tomes said.

Sponsorships for the event are being taken all day Friday until the Chamber closes its doors. They can be purchased online at their website, in person or over the phone. Sponsorships are $50.

Tickets can be purchased until the event for $7 each. They can be purchased on the website, in person at the Chamber’s office, over the phone and at the door.

The event will feature a panel of several community members including Dr. Wanda Figueroa Peralta with River Valley Behavioral Health and Julie Marfell, Associate Professor at University of Kentucky School of Nursing.
