The Owensboro Regional Farmers’ Market 2022 season opens on April 16, and vendor applications are currently being accepted.
Beck Glenn, Director of the Market, said organizers will be trying new ways to sprinkle in different craft vendors along with the roughly 40 vendors from last season.
At the final market of the season last year, Glenn said they saw a large amount of participation from craft vendors and wanted to give them more opportunities to become a regular part of the season.
“So we’re going to have some special events throughout the season that will allow for some of those vendors to come in as guests a couple more times,” she said.
Last summer’s Taste of the Market events allowed a guest chef to prepare the food at the market and offer free samples. There were a slew of other events centered around the core of the Market’s hope of the community supporting local farmers.
“There’s nothing fresher than actually walking up and buying your tomato or your frozen steak from the person who actually produced it,” Glenn said.
Glenn said they are currently accepting applications for more market vendors to come into this season. To learn more about how to apply, head to their website.
