The Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame and Museum is starting to accept volunteer and vendor applications for this year’s ROMP Festival, scheduled for June 22-25.

Erin Rouse, project manager at the Hall of Fame, said during last year’s festival they had just over 100 volunteers. Volunteers are asked to work four 3-hour shifts during the span of the festival; in return they receive a four-day pass with camping abilities.

“It’s a pretty good deal if you have that availability to help us out, and then we reward you with a ticket,” Rouse said.

The schedule to work and available spots are flexible. Rouse noted that volunteers help with parking, golf cart rentals, check-in, grounds, and more more. Rouse said that it’s sometimes possible to double up on shifts to knock them out in a faster span.

Anyone interested can apply here and learn more about positions.

“We are using the volunteers all day. As long as the gates are open, we have people in all the different areas,” Rouse said. “It’s a fun group of people.”

There are also vendor opportunities for ROMP in two categories: craft and food.

Craft vendor applications will be chosen by April 1, and they will be notified of acceptance by April 15. Craft vendors can apply here and learn more information about the space available.

Food vendors will be chosen by March 1 and notified of acceptance by March 15. Vendors can apply here.
