Whitesville Lions Club bringing back Chili Supper and Pie Auction; benefits Wendell Foster and Puzzle Pieces

The Whitesville Lions Club will host its annual Chili Supper and Pie Auction on April 29 after a two-year hiatus. The fundraiser will support Wendell Foster and Puzzle Pieces, two local nonprofit charities.

Cathy Roby, Marketing and Public Relations Representative for the Whitesville Lions Club, said she’s excited for the auction’s return. 

“This is such a fun event that raises money for two wonderful organizations and produces so much joy, laughter, and a lot of sugary goodness,” Roby said.

The auction will begin at 6 p.m. at the Whitesville Senior Citizen Center, located at 10345 KY 54. Chili, hot dogs, and drinks will be served at 5 p.m.

Attendees can expect a variety of baked goods up for auction.Donated cakes, pies, and other desserts can be delivered before 4 p.m. on the day of the auction to the Whitesville Senior Citizen Center. For more information, contact Roby at 270-316-6914.

Amanda Owen, Executive Director at Puzzle Pieces, said her organization is honored to be a part of the event. 

“The support we receive directly impacts the 300+ clients we serve at Puzzle Pieces,” Owen said. “We are so excited for the return of this fun event this year and, as a Whitesville native, I love seeing my hometown come together in such a special way.”

Kara Howard, Vice President of Development and Community Engagement at Wendell Foster, added that their organization is also grateful for the support, saying the Whitesville Lions Club members are “Difference Makers to our organization and those we serve.”
