Miss Pokemon Go? Want to take over a gym without the workout? The developers of Pokemon Go are hosting a Community Day this Saturday, and Owensboro was among the cities chosen for in-person meetup. The event will coincide with OMG!Con, and attendees will be able to meet some Gym Leaders.

Vice President of OMG!Con John Bowen said that Niantic — developers of Pokemon Go — will be hosting the event in front of the Owensboro Convention Center to help add the augmented reality game to the festivities.

From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., trainers will be located outside of the Convention Center. Players will get the chance to catch Deino, the Irate Pokemon. Deino will appear more frequently in the wild, and “If you’re lucky, you might encounter a Shiny one.” There are also event bonuses and bonuses for groups.

Community Day is happening at select places on June 25 across the globe at different landmarks in cities. Click here for more information.
