Coffey Anderson said he’s feeling hyper as he prepares for his performance tonight at Friday After 5. The country music artist is set to take the stage at 7 p.m. at the Jagoe Stage at Atmos Amphitheater in McConnell Plaza.

This marks Anderson’s second performance in Kentucky, and his first full band performance ever. Anderson said the thing he likes most about the smaller city stages is it gives him a chance to interact more with the people.

Anderson said leading up to today, he has gotten word from several fans across the state letting him know they plan to make the drive to Owensboro.

“I have so many fans in Kentucky, Northern Kentucky, Southern Indiana that want to come to a show and this is going to be that show,” Anderson said. “They’re driving to Owensboro from Tennessee, from Indiana and all parts of Kentucky. People are ready and I’m ready.”

He said his set will be a 75-minute, high-energy, family friendly country music show. To him, shows like that are hard to find nowadays.

“You will leave knowing that you’ve laughed, you’ve cried, you’ve been inspired, you love your country, you love those that served it,” Anderson said. “You will walk away with your arm around somebody or a smile on your face.”
