The fireworks festival at Panther Creek Park has been canceled for 2022. The festival was originally scheduled for September 3, but heavy rains forced officials to call the event off that day. They hoped to find another date, but none were available.

Daviess County Judge-Executive Al Mattingly said Thursday night that Fiscal Court and Parks Department officials looked for available reschedule dates, but other events had already been booked every weekend for the next few months.

The fireworks show is expected to return again next year, and is scheduled annually for Labor Day weekend.
