Despite a record number of participants in 2022, the Street Legends Car Show is ending after 16 years. The group has donated more than $130,000 to local children’s charities over the years, including more than $9,000 this year.

“It is with great consideration and emotion that we inform you that the 2022 event was our final Street Legends Car Show,” the Street Legends Car Show Committee announced Sunday via Facebook. “… It was because of participants like you, and so many others, that all of this was made possible. On behalf of the entire Street Legends Committee, we are grateful and humbled by your support.”

Anyone already pre-registered for the 2023 show is being refunded. Those who have already made a camping reservation and would like to cancel can contact the Diamond Lake Resort office at 270-229-4900.

This year’s car show was held August 19-20 at Diamond Lake Resort, drawing a record 337 cars registered.

All of the proceeds for this year’s show — which total $9,345 — will go to St. Joseph Peace Mission and other children’s charities in Daviess County.
