The Owensboro Convention Center promises to have a bit of everything for motorcycle enthusiasts at the River City Bike Expo on June 2-3. The show, which is open to the public, will have vendors, national suppliers, and a sound competition — plus a tattoo experience on the upper level of the Center.

“Bringing the River City Bike Expo to Owensboro is an honor for my wife Deanna and myself,” said River City Bike Expo Organizer Mark Rhoades. “We invite everyone to come out to the show and experience what we have dedicated our lives to. From the everyday rider to home mechanics or large-scale shop owners and builders, there will be something for everyone.”

The event on June 2 will blend into the kickoff for the Friday After 5 in downtown Owensboro.

The expo opens again at 9 a.m. that Saturday with events including a fashion show presented by the new Evansville Harley Davidson, a bike show presented by Urban Rides Magazine, and a sound competition on the pier presented by Sound Warz with the Radical Randy Akers as the host of the event.

An award ceremony and tattoo competition will be held from 7-9 p.m. on the main stage inside the Convention Center.

“We couldn’t be more excited to welcome this expo to Owensboro,” said Teresa Jones with Visit Owensboro. “We’re expecting hundreds of motorcycle enthusiasts and vendors to quite literally ride into Owensboro in June creating a large economic impact in the peak of our summer season.”
