The Cliff Hagan Boys & Girls Club is seeking chefs for its 2nd annual Chefs Giving Event. The goal has increased to 75 chefs, compared to 50 in 2022.
“Chefs Giving” was technically a new event last year but is a new version of the fundraiser formerly known as “100 Men Who Cook.” The event features “Star Chefs” — largely local celebrities — that prepare food samplings for guests and compete for chef tips. No culinary experience is required.
All proceeds go to the Cliff Hagan Boys & Girls Club Mike Horn Unit. The funds will help benefit academic success, healthy lifestyles, and workforce development programs for our Club kids and teens.
Kalie Winkler, Director of RD and Marketing, Winkler said the goal is to raise the bar from last year.
“This means more food, more fun, and more opportunities to build great futures for our Club members,” Winkler said. “We really like to host this event as a way to bring everyone in our community together for one night to help accomplish a common goal of building great futures for our youth in Daviess County.”
Winkler said expenses are increasing to provide opportunities for local youth, so fundraisers such as this are vital to their success.
“We want to see all kids and teens succeed and it’s going to take a team for this to happen,” she said. “Chefs Giving is the perfect event to accomplish these goals.”
In addition to food, there will be a live auction, games, and a photobooth from Something Borrowed for guests to participate in throughout the night.
Tickets cost $85 for an individual or $500 for a table that seats 8 guests.
