The Eagle Family Players of Apollo High School are presenting “Santa Goes Green” at 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, in the high school auditorium. The school is located at 2280 Tamarack Road.

The annual Christmas play is open free to the public; donations will be accepted at the door.

“Santa Goes Green” is a humorous story featuring melting ice caps, global warming and surfing reindeer. The North Pole is going green this year and everyone is excited. Everyone, that is, except Santa, who likes things just as they are. Solar panels, LED light bulbs and new power sources all sound a bit inconvenient to him. Mrs. Claus, the elves, toys, and reindeer have their hands full convincing Santa to “go green”!

The Eagle Family Players consists of special services students in Apollo’s music appreciation class, peer tutors, and members of the Advanced Chorus. It has become a beloved tradition in our community for these students to present a special play every Christmas season.
